What Do We Do?
Transportation and Scheduling:
CaHoots Adult Day Service offers a flexible schedule and includes transportation, for those able to transfer in/out of a vehicle, to and from the facility if staffing allows. Our facilities are open M-F, 8:00am- 6:00pm. We are centered around our member's schedules, so we work with guardians, AFH providers, and/or caregiver to set days and times that are most convenient for all.
Activities:
Each month, CaHoots creates an activity calendar specific to our members wants, needs, and abilities. This gives everyone an outline on what our staff and members will be doing on a day to day basis. CaHoots involves each member while establishing our activities so that everyone can contribute ideas and look forward to what's to come. Each location's activity calendar differs to better accommodate the members at that facility. Daily activities may include crafting, physical and mental exercises, various games, adult daily living guidance, holiday fun, and much more. Members also participate in weekly outings including shopping, going to the library, the local rec center, community plays and events, bowling, and walks to various local businesses. CaHoots has started to establish repetitive clubs through out the month such as cooking club, workout Wednesdays, Science club, History fun, game club, etc.
Staff:
Qualified staff provides the best care and supervision to adults with a cognitive and/or physical disability along with the advanced elderly. CaHoots assists with toileting and simple personal cares for members. Staff is trained on all new members and/or disabilities and participates in continuing education training throughout the year.
